Litter Awareness

Thank you for participating in the Litter Awareness Campaign for Union County, Georgia April 23 – May 27.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Complete THIS FORM  – providing the name of the road and describing the stretch you plan to clean.
  2. Head to your designated road.  Before collecting litter, take a BEFORE photo.  When you have finished, take an AFTER photo.
  3. When you are “All Done,” leave your bags on the side of the road and give us a call so that we can have the UC Road Dept go by to pick up your bagged litter.
    Phone:  706 439-6000.
  4. Come back to the site and tell us you are done!
  5. Upload at least 2 photos:  Show us the “Before” and show us the “After.”
We want to brag on your progress!
  6. Prizes will go to individuals who clean up the most mileage in Union County between April 7 – May 6:
    1st place – $300;   2nd place – $200;   and 3rd place – $100.

Orange trash bags, gloves, and orange vests are available in the Union County Commissioner’s Office. We even have some hinged trash picking tools for you to use.

So, choose your road and go for it.
Celebrate our beautiful Union County, Georgia!
