2023 Walk-up Vendor Information – Application Required

Walk-up vendors will need to call the Farmers Market (706)-439-6043 on Fridays between 1pm-2pm to be put on the walk-up vendor list for the following Saturday’s Farmers Market. If you are not able to call between the designated times, you can contact Dustin Rogers at (706)-781-8843 but you will be placed lower on the walk-up vendor list. It will be first call first serve.

All applications are accepted at the discretion of the Market Management and based on the following criteria:

Agricultural Products: Farmers are given priority, and everything must be homegrown in Union or a contiguous County.

Arts & Crafts: Products must be of high quality and handmade/crafted in Union or a contiguous County.

Food Vendors: May be accepted on a case-by-case basis. Vendors wishing to sell ANY food products at the Market must contact the office (706-439-6043) and submit all proper licenses in advance.

Vendors should sign up in the Farmers Market pavilion by 7:30am on Saturdays and at the Market office by 8:30am on Tuesdays. The cost for a walk-up vendor stall is $15 on Saturdays and $10 on Tuesdays.

Please remember everything sold at the Union County Farmers Market needs to be grown/made in Union, Fannin, Towns, Lumpkin, or White Counties in Georgia or Cherokee or Clay Counties in North Carolina.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING - AGENDA

A Public Hearing will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 5:00pm in the Union County Courthouse, 65 Courthouse Street, Blairsville, Georgia.

The purpose of this hearing will be for Union County to provide information and answer questions regarding the proposed revisions of the Union County Code of Ordinances pertaining to Chapter 10, Article III, Section
10-80 addressing Temporary Special Event Licenses for the sale of alcohol, Chapter 38, Article III, Section 38-51 addressing Tattoo and Body Piercing Establishments and the proposed Commercial Firing Range Facilities Ordinance.

At the County Meeting scheduled for October 19, 2023 at 6:00pm, Union County Government will be adopting the proposed Ordinance for Cryptocurrency and Data Mining.

The final draft of this Ordinance will be available on the website and hard copies will be available in the Union County Commissioner’s Office and with the Union County Clerk of Superior Court on
Wednesday, September 20, 2023.

The following meetings have been held in relation to this ordinance:

1st Reading – June 15, 2023
Public Hearing – July 20, 2023
2nd Reading – August 22, 2023
